Regulation has not arrived as of today, but it will shortly.
I agree that there are far too many debt settlement companies operating today in a way that is harmful to consumers.
Finding the good ones can be a "needle in a haystack" effort.

Debt settlement appears to be seen as a realistic option for people dealing with credit card debt. I have been following the trend rather closely and it is very difficult to to define what is actually being purchased for your cash. I really know there are quite a few debt settlement companies in today's market that provide superb services and the debt settlement customers truely benefit, but I also know there are a lot debt settlement companies out in the market that are only focused on collecting customer payments and signing up new members. This is why there is brand new fed regulation regarding the debt industry. My best friend contracted a debt business and is honestly very extremely content with the overall results.
